The Laborer and Helper III position is responsible for meeting general labor, clerical, sanitation and building and grounds needs throughout the plant and property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general data entry, filing, make copies, and other clerical duties supporting various departments as needed.
Properly maintain all assigned office and plant locations including corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner; mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Perform work safely and efficiently in all areas of the plant including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors.
Demonstrate safe and effective use of housekeeping and chemical equipment/solutions as observed by the supervisor.
Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned.
Perform general grounds keeping duties as needed.
Assist with general painting as needed.
Assist with general labor duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
Support safety policies and programs.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of related experience required.
Manufacturing experience within a food processing facility preferred.
Forklift Certification required.
Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
