Job Description Summary

Provide administrative and project support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources, such as team member services, employee event planning, training, and employee recognition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Assist with event planning and employee recognition programs.
  • Facilitate orientation for internal / external applicants and new employees to fill current or expected job vacancies.
  • Assist with the HR Data entry within Paycom to include the processing transfers, pay changes, HR corrections and other personnel date entry.
  • Administer, organize, and conduct company training and educational programs. Participates in monitoring and reporting on training.
  • Respond to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures. Triage more complex questions / issues to property Team Member Relation Managers.
  • Perform duties involving the creation of employee communications including in-house newsletters, bulletin board/publicity posters, multimedia, and Paycom communications.
  • Assist department management/coordinators in special Human Resources projects.
  • May participate in the administration and maintenance of group benefit programs assisting Benefit Specialists as needed.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years Human Resources experience preferred or a combination of related education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, visual, and written communications skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office products.
  • Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual a plus

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.

Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
