The Aveanna Corporate Payroll supports an employee base of more than 35,000 employees using Workday. We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist join our team! Performs various and more complex duties of US Payroll including, but not limited to: Auditing Weekly/Bi-Weekly Payrolls, Reconciling multiple Time Keeping Systems and Workday EIB File Load. This specialist supports its own Region and handle regular’s payroll adjustments and data entry. The payroll specialist handles incoming Payroll Inquiries using Jira Ticketing Systems.
Essential Job Functions
Work with Location Payroll Representative to resolve inquires
Work with HRIS Payroll Analyst with relevant changes for payroll processing including new earnings, deductions and accruals
Responsibility for Exporting Hours from Timekeeping Systems and EIB Loads to Workday
Audit payroll inputs prior to payroll run along with managing off-cycle payments as needed
Document existing payroll processes
Ability to research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, including but not limited to employee information, payroll
Ability to solve more complex payroll issues in an unsupervised environment.
Ability to evaluate overall situation to prioritize work.
1+ years of experience in accounting
Associate degree or equivalent level of experience
1+ years of direct experience with Workday Payroll
Previous experience with tax and vendor updates within a large payroll system
FPC or CPP certification
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Attention to detail

Excellent organization and communication skills
Quick-thinking and astute decision making skills
Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
Performs duties in an office environment during agency operating hours
