VDOT’s Maintenance Division is excited to offer and announce an exciting opportunity to serve as a Severe Weather Program Coordinator in the Central Office!
The Severe Weather Program Coordinator will:
Develop and implement emergency operations administration through policies, procedures, contracts, and applications to include but not limited to the management of Severe Weather Application System, Plow4VA, Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVL) and the Snow Removal Equipment Agreement.
Provide support to Central Office, Districts, Residencies, and Area Headquarters in relation to Severe Weather Operation programs and systems.
Manage daily operations, track and pay bills, track budget requests and expenditures.
Provide contract administration and contract management to the Severe Weather Contracts and the Integrated Supply Services Program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated multitasker looking for a role that Keeps Virginia Moving!!
This position will be required to work during emergency operations.


Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of accounting, budgeting and procurement principles and
practices.

Ability to research, analyze, format data and prepare reports and recommendations.
Skill in the use of computers and web-based systems including electronic procurement and financial management systems.
Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse groups.
Knowledge of contract administration and contract management.


Preferred Qualifications

Functional and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS
Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and Google Mail and Google Docs at a high level of accomplishment.

Ability to create a Pivot-table in MS Excel with data from various agency Databases and manipulate that data to create summaries and analysis reports of various Maintenance programs
Experience in analyzing data and database management.

Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation or related field. Equivalent training/education may substitute for degree.

Knowledge of the VPPA and/or Transportation law related to emergency snow removal.


Special Requirements

Fingerprint-based Criminal History Background Check and DMV Record Check are required.
