Proactively supervise, provide guidance and counseling to assist probationer compliance with conditions of sentence in the office or field. Assess the needs of probationers and make appropriate service referrals, including health, mental health, housing, transportation, education, vocational training, job skills training and placement. Works closely with all supporting programs to develop and implement programs to achieve rehabilitation excellence.

Compensation: $29.47 per hour

Education Required

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, or related field. *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Related Experience:

• Three (3) years working experience in a probation, parole, law enforcement, or wellness/drug court environment or related field.

• Three (3) years working experience writing reports, assessing cases, making recommendations, conducting field visits, referring people to appropriate resources, and presenting cases in court or at hearings.

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites:

• Must not have any restrictions on ability to carry or for use of a firearm, such as being named as a respondent on a protection order, restraining order, or anti-harassment order.
• WA State Driver’s License and must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Terms of Employment: This is a Full-Time position.
