What you will do

The National Field Technical Trainer is responsible for successfully implementing and coordinating all Technical Training for internal and external field resources in their geographical area and/or assigned. The position will effectively coordinate training activity, develop training programs to meet current and future needs, coordinate training needs with various JCI vendors and maintain data base of active completed trainings.


This position requires an advanced understanding of products being implemented, structured wiring standards, network design, construction industry standards, NEC (National Electric Code), OSHA training, and the construction trades & materials used.


The ideal candidate can multitask and possess strong organizational, communications and interpersonal leadership skills. This role is responsible for working with Field Leadership to ensure all requirements are completed on time and with 100% satisfaction.


How you will do it

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending formal trainings and educational workshops.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Evaluate technical employers and identify weaknesses.
  • Evaluate Service Max training needs and perform necessary steps to insure the field is adhering to these standards
  • Evaluate field technicians and identify weaknesses
  • Identify technical training needs according to needs
  • Evaluate, Lead/teach, onboard and new technical training programs
  • Present all the technical and supply training requirements for current and new equipment
  • Track employee success and progress
  • Work with the field tech leads and design team
  • Work with regional tech support team
  • Collaborate with Corporate Technical Support on technical issues in the field
  • Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of the ServiceMax platform
  • Evaluate, Lead/Teach, ServiceMax process for Internal and External personnel
  • Collaborate with Core Product Team on publication of new product Documentation

Qualifications


What we look for

Required

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Technology, Network Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Military training/experience or other related field
  • Five to seven years field, construction, and progressive management experience with a high volume, high impact operation
  • Experience successfully handling multiple challenges, prioritizing responsibilities, and effectively leading multiple teams
  • Strong leadership skills, including influence management, team-building, conflict resolution, negotiation, organizational change management, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to manage and direct multiple complex projects simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass customer expectations on-time and within budget
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills either remote or classroom
  • Ability to communicate effectively with varying audience groups and levels
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Smart Sheet, etc.
  • Strong understanding of construction and various trade costing models, NEC, and OSHA
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
