Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator will join the Dream Youth Clinic multidisciplinary team which provides holistic wrap-around services for youth ages 13-24 years old. This role requires the ability to take initiative, multi-task, communicate effectively, and support staff in providing youth-led programming for our clients. At Roots and Dream we believe in youth-led, adult-guided collaboration and are committed to "meeting youth where they are" and assisting them along their journey to wellness in an open and non-judgmental way.

The Program Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the youth programs ensuring all program, eligibility and enrollment activities meet compliance requirements. They will work directly with staff members, budgets, and procedures to ensure the implementation and success of programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with direct service program staff at each site regularly to provide program support.
  • Work with staff members, budgets, and procedures to ensure the implementation and success of programs.
  • Ensure all program, eligibility and enrollment activities meet compliance requirements.
  • Conduct timely follow-up activities.
  • Monitor outreach and enrollment workers’ workloads and hours and coordinate their schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data is submitted externally as well as for internal reporting purposes.
  • Report issues, risks, and wins to management.
  • Provide ongoing education about peer teaching, address challenges, and create a space for peer bonding.
  • Collaborate with local organizations to increase networking opportunities
  • Convene meetings with key opinion leaders and stakeholders to build support.
  • Maintain all related relationships with community-based and neighborhood organizations.
  • Develop media and educational materials for distribution.
  • Provide oversight for data collection.
  • Generate grant/contract reports.
  • Attend department and staff meetings, as necessary.


  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, social sciences, public health, business administration, public administration, social work, or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a non-profit organization, or a community clinic preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with youth. Work with youth of color, LGBTQ+ youth and other youth who have been marginalized preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • Clear and effective external and internal, verbal and written, communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Valid California Driver License with safe driving record.
  • Experience/familiarity with benefits enrollment and Medi-Cal.
