Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,912$3,100 per month
Full Classification Salary Range: $2,912$4,592 per month
This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Under the supervision of the Department Chair, in collaboration with the Bulldog Marching Band (BMB) Director, the incumbent supports the mission of the department and the university by assuring that all administrative requirements are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Typical assignments will include: classroom support for the Associate Director of Bands; operate accounting programs (Microsoft, Quicken, Excel, and university supported accounting software); plan and organize varying level of general office, clerical and secretarial work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of a variety of policies and procedures supporting the Bulldog Marching Band; serve as a positive informational resource to students, faculty, and the general public.
Knowledge of basic accounting practices and spreadsheet design
Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices
Knowledge of computer office systems and ability to use technology, systems, and software packages (Microsoft Office Suite, Google)
Ability to manage effective communication with students, faculty, local music educators, and potential incoming students via: Email, mail-merge, phone/voice mail communications, and through Google forms
Knowledge of marching band instruments or equipment preferred

Education and Experience
High school diploma or its equivalent
Equivalent to two years of recent administrative support experience
