Talent Risk Manager

The team

Talent Risk focuses on aggregate risks impacting our people across all levels (e.g., new programs/initiatives driven by technology, talent data usage, Confidential Information Management Program (CIMP), globalization and regulatory requirements. We offer risk advisory services to talent when designing, modifying and / or implementing an internal program/initiative, survey, technology or leveraging talent data.

Job Overview

This role will support the three key Talent Risk areas:

  • Proactively assesses and mitigates programmatic risks through a Talent Risk Impact Assessment review
  • Team with talent to develop appropriate risk mitigation plans, where appropriate
  • Sponsor and reinforce all elements of the Talent Confidential Information Management Plan (CIMP).

Job responsibilities
  • Work with Talent Risk Officer and Senior Manager in conducting risk assessments for Talent initiatives, programs and technologies
  • Ensures CIMP management / compliance which includes working with other teams to align practices and protocols to the Talent CIMP and/or partner with other talent functions to develop/enhance their CIMP and related practices
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects related to incident management / investigation with OGC, business leaders, talent leaders, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Will need to be able to understand complex problems; use judgment to make a recommendation that mitigates risk
  • Provides guidance to Talent Relations team members on highly complex cases
  • Work autonomously and partners with appropriate Leaders to understand and address highly complex data related incidents, challenges and issues
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal clients (e.g. Office of General Counsel or Privacy and Confidentiality, Information Technology Services, etc...); use knowledge to identify trends
  • Takes initiative in recommending solutions for highly complex talent risk related matters
  • Other assigned projects and initiatives



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related area
  • Typically requires 810 total years Talent/Human Resources experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Deep knowledge of talent processes and understanding of connectivity to other enabling areas
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically and manage change and ambiguity
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management, and change management skills
  • Possess problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to make sound observations and recommendations
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Adaptable to changing timelines and deliverables
  • Ability to partner with various teams and provide guidance around path forward
  • Ability to understand business and operational context and influence outcomes, without formal reporting relationships
  • Professional judgement and able to navigate with stakeholders
