Hiring Freedom Boat Club Dock Managers for our Hingham Shipyard location!
Maritime Credentialing is preferred but not required

Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s largest and oldest membership-based boat club. The local Massachusetts operation is seeking to expand! Our franchise currently owns and operates 14 locations.
This is a perfect job for transitioning military veterans, retired first responders, those with a strong love for the water, snow birds or skiers!
This opportunity starts mid April 2021 and runs into October and potentially year round for the right hire.
The main function of the Manager is to be the club's primary contact with our members and management. You will provide extraordinary concierge service starting with the first phone call until they are clear and safe from their trip. You will ensure a "red carpet" level of customer service is delivered at all times while maintaining a fleet of spectacular looking, clean and sanitized boats.
Daily duties of a Manager include but are not limited to the following:
Documenting staff and member interactions positive/negative.
Reviewing customer comment cards.
Inventory boat safety gear and boat condition.
Provide highest-level concierge service to members. Meet them at their vehicle, assist in moving personal items to the boat, provide assistance boarding / disembarking, and offer advice as to local waters and local attractions. Then assist members back to their vehicle when they return.
Ensuring the club is opened and closed properly and all staff adhere to club policies.
Answer requests from sales for perspective member information / club tours.
Work alongside engineering to assist in boat hauling and minor maintenance.
Advise members of weather reports, high and low tides and time due back. Call cancel members during inclement weather and reduce staff.
Answer all members questions regarding boat operation.
Ensure that members confirm their reservations and getting as many members from the waitlist and onto boats as possible.
Work dock shifts right alongside crew members, leading by example. Check members in/out as necessary to keep up with dock flow.
Weekends and holidays are required.
High school graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred
State issued drivers license
Customer service experience a must
Can work weekends, this is a 5 day work week
Familiar in marina operations
Friendly, approachable personality.
Display a professional appearance at all times.
Strong situational awareness.
Ability to speak clearly and professionally.
Familiar with small boat systems and operation. (Single engine outboard 19'-24')
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Ability to lift and carry large/heavy personal gear (i.e. coolers, etc.) on and off boats and into/out of personal vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Paid time off

12 hour shift
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
