About the position : We have an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Technician supporting PCI Guidance projects within the Interventional Cardiology division. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC’s mission.
Documents, tests, evaluates, analyzes, verifies electromechanical equipment, prototypes, and finished devices by writing documents, reports, and memos. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards. Working from test procedures, specifications and/or written and verbal instructions.
Prepare change requests, pull new part numbers, and help with other documentation-related activities using the Windchill PLM system. Make minor document or drawing changes as part of the change process to correct issues or document a new configuration. Define and update the Bill of Materials (BoM) and document structure. Monitor the progress of change notices and follow-up to ensure that implemented as specified.
Tracks, troubleshoots hardware development effort. Test set-ups, circuit, or device problems by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool through technical understanding, utilization of documentation and problem-solving practices.
Documents, solves test and evaluation results problems through detailed use of lab notebooks, completion of test reports, and other organized means. Includes results and set-up procedures, etc. by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3+ year of related experience.
Prior experience in a lab environment.
Prior technical writing experience with Windchill or other similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Demonstrated experience analyzing and fulfilling documentation requirements as well successfully managing/coordinating a large number of documents for multiple concurrent projects.
Experience with medical device Design History Files and Device Master Records in a medical device environment.
Ability to communicate detailed information to the project teams of completions of assigned tasks.
Quick learner; willing to learn the current test processes and procedures in a regulated environment.
Able to multitask between projects in different stages of development.
Experience with the analysis, diagnostics, and testing of medical devices.
Prior experience in test documentation through lab notebooks or reports.
Experience interacting with a highly technical staff in an engineering lab environment.
Experience interacting with all engineering disciplines and experience levels.
Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
