Detail of : Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Weekend 7pm 7am Job Openings in Morgantown
The Shelter Advocate will provide direct service and systems advocacy to clients/residents. Duties will include crisis intervention, hotline, safety/security of service recipients/building, personal and legal advocacy, client intakes and exit interviews, case management, data collection and entry, and other duties as assigned.
Required skills and abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Handle confidential client and administrative information
Ability to prioritize, be self-directed and handle a variety of tasks * Works well independently or with others Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, advanced degree preferred
Two years’ experience in working with victims of domestic violence or related field
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Job Type: Part-time (Weekends) (7pm-7am))
Domestic Violence or related field: 2 years
Bachelor's Degree Required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Driver's License (Preferred)
