About us


Lakewood Hills Improvement District is in search of a district clerk to assist with our daily duties as an Improvement District. Those duties require such person to be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and trustworthy. The job of the district clerk is to ensure all of the district’s business is done correctly according to our Ordinances, Rules, and Regulations, By-Laws and within the state statutes that govern us as an entity. This job requires an immense amount of communication between the board of directors, the office and maintenance staff, therefore having good communication is imperative with this position. Some of the duties of the district clerk include but are not limited to:

** Creating and sending out monthly invoices to residents

** Entering and receiving monthly payments from residents

** Answering phones and returning calls to residents’ questions/needs in a timely manner

** Using accounting software (QuickBooks) to keep track of the district’s income/expenses

** Sending/receiving emails from various vendors, board members/staff, and/or residents

** Entering and paying monthly bills timely with accounting software (QuickBooks)

** Running employee payroll with accounting software (QuickBooks)

** Creating any misc. documents that may be needed through Microsoft Office programs etc.

** Gathering documents and creating monthly agenda for board meetings

** Attending monthly board meetings to take notes and assist board members with specific tasks at hand

** Keeping communication open on all fronts for current residents, LWH staff, and/or future potential residents

To excel in this position the candidate must have some basic knowledge of computer programs such as (Microsoft word, excel, etc.) The candidate must also have basic knowledge of email and how to attach documents to emails. Some knowledge of how simple accounting works with accounting software (QuickBooks) will be helpful. On-the-job training will be available upon acceptance of this job position. This will be to ensure the candidate has as much information as possible in order to be successful in their position and will feel as comfortable as possible. This is a part-time position working around 25 hours per week. The rate of pay will be dependant upon experience. It also comes with 3-day weekends, PTO, and paid holidays.
